SynecorLABS is a full service contract research organization specializing in preclinical models for safety, toxicology, and efficacy studies for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Our laboratory originated at Duke Medical Center and has conducted studies for major medical device and pharmaceutical companies. SynecorLABS was formed as an independent contract research facility in 2001. For decades, SynecorLABS has been successfully conducting preclinical research. Our unique history provides superior expertise in proof of concept, R&D, and drug discovery/development for GLP and non-GLP studies.

Laboratory

Three spacious operating rooms provide the necessary equipment to perform preclinical interventional procedures for coronary, peripheral, and electrophysiology devices, as well as surgical interventions including cardiac, bariatric, and tissue grafting procedures. The SynecorLABS team has vast experience in rodent, rabbit, porcine, canine, ovine, bovine, and caprine models.

SynecorLABS can accomodate the majority of dosing routes in all the models we have available.

SynecorLABS offers the convenience of real-time videoconference imaging from surgical and procedure rooms which allows you to monitor components of your study such as: interventional procedures, dosing, and necropsy, as well as face-to-face meetings with research staff without the need to travel.

Staff

With extraordinary scientists, toxicologists, interventionists, surgeons, veterinarians, technicians (dosing, anasthesia, laboratory, necropsy, histology, and animal care), pathologists (MD and DVM), and key opinion leader, SynecorLABS can accomodate studies varying from simple to extremely complex.

In-house histopathology, provided by our unique team of a board certified veterinary pathologist and a board certified MD pathologist, provide the client with superior preclinical histologic evaluation of experimental therapeutics.

Ethics

We perform all of our work based on a commitment to quality and excellence. We have a customer satisfaction procedure to assure we get feedback to continually improve and develop better services for our clients. Our animal care and use committee consists of veterinarians, research personnel (technical and managerial), a member of the clergy, an active scientist, a physicist, a lay person, a chairperson, and an administrator.
